Ashtanga yoga practice synchronizes your breathe and your movement to produce internal heat. We use Ujjayi breathing, which takes air in and out through the nose, and we follow a specific sequence of postures to carry energy through the body. Starting with the Primary Series allows us to practice as beginners and move at your own pace through to the Secondary, Intermediate, and Advanced levels of practice. Since the poses follow a set order, you become more aware of what is to come and can take it to your level. All levels are welcome.
In Vinyasa Yoga, participants coordinate movement with breath to flow from one pose to the next.
